Anti-Strib Continues Its Indian War

Margaret at Anti-Strib uses the sotto-white anthro voice of enlightened genocide to take the edge off Tracy Eberly's hate speech in her recent post called "The Indians."
Invoking her and her husband's patented "Live like a liberal, vote like a conservative" schtick, Margaret gently reminds us (and Eberly) that Indians are victims of "government perpetuated poverty" while largely talking about North American Indian culture in the past tense.
Sweet.
As anybody paying attention to the "tradition" of white authority's attitude towards Indians knows, this is just the "good cop" version of Eberly's more blunt attack.
After the thumper beats you up, his partner tells you that not all cops are like that, that his buddy has a problem, that "I have Indian ancestry" etc. etc. etc.
My favorite part is Margaret's latest encounter with Indians--which took place apparently at an exhibit of Modern Native American Art housed at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts--and her warrior fetish.
You just can't make this shit up.
Hey Margaret, you obviously read. May I suggest a bit of Sherman Alexie? Louise Erdrich? Simon Oritz? Leslie Marmon Silko?

Poor Little Mitchypoo certainly has his feathers ruffled over this post...
Good Job!
Thin skinned Mitch Berg... how true...
I would also put Indian Givers: How the Indians of the Americas Transformed the World: by Jack Weatherford on the required leading list.
Is Mitch Berg still gainfully employed? I haven't heard him begging for his kids' lunch money lately. This must be a record for him.
